That doesn't discourage everyone: PortlandPsst! reports that Mainebiz reports that the Portland Daily Sun will be a new, free, printed daily in Portland, Maine.

Why does NH care? The paper will allegedly be funded and operated by North Conway, NH's Conway Daily Sun, which is best loved for its feisty/bigoted editorial page. (I'd provide a link, but you actually have to pay for an online subscription.)

Montreal's Protest For Gaza

One woman brandished her shoe above her head during the entire three hour march through downtown Montreal this past Sunday. There were 10,000 people, kids carrying flags, women in head scarves and teenagers in skinny jeans and Keffiyahs. It was "Intifada! Intifada!" "Israel, Terrorist!." And a small group of Hasidic Jews, their signs reading: "Rabbis against the creation of Israel."
