"Here, this looks like a heater, pose with that," says Mike Daley, Faye's husband, handing her a white plastic box. He's spending the morning piping exhaust fumes from his truck underground into mole holes below the lawn. He sets the oven timer so he knows when the moles are done cooking.
"That's an air humidifier," Faye says doubtfully.
"No one can tell the difference," Mike says, putting down the word scramble he's been working on, and holding up the humidifier for emphasis. Faye leans on the kitchen counter.
