
My roommate Gert visited Karlovy Vary last weekend. We sampled the famous hot mineral waters with the special cup-with-built-in-straw. You can petrify objects in these springs--Michal's baby shoe for instance.
And a trip to Hauenštejn Castle. (Horní Hrad in Czech. Horní means "upper"--not what you think :)) June is rarely sunny here. But the burgeoning green in the forests around KV remind me that there must be some kind of chlorophyl revival going on.
