This neighborhood of Montreal, actually even just this street with its six block radius of hip/arty people of the world (noticeably mostly the Caucasian variety) has a distinctive daily schedule:
walk to Club Social and drink Italian espresso outside on the sidewalk patio
walk to the laundromat and put your clothes in the wash
walk back to Club Social and have another coffee, smoke a Benson and Hedges and maybe discuss music theory with some whacked out but equally well educated person without a proper job
go put the clothes in the dryer
think about lunch. Pierogies or roti?
Really, we were just trying to fit in.
